Happy Austrian National Day!
Since 2017 we have been supporting Austrian Consulate with event design for the National Day Festivities.
The National Day event took place on October 27 at Shanghai Primus Hotel in Hongqiao. Apart from the strong connection between Austrian compatriots and Chinese guests, the event features delicious Austrian food and drink and compelling cultural performances, so its popularity is no surprise.
Besides this annual event, we have also designed the pop-up exhibition “Calliope – Women in Society, Culture and the Sciences” for Chinese audiences. This series of 10 displays showcases eminent Austrian women like Nobel price winner and peace activist Bertha von Suttner (*1843) or Lise Meitner (*1878) who co-discovered nuclear fission but was deprived of the Nobel price. Instead, her former employer Otto Hahn got it. Good to remember these trailblazers who were often overlooked at their time.
