Obol & Ulix – for better Home Office
Since many years we develop brochures and websites for UE chairs’ excellent office products. The stock-listed company from Anji mostly produces chairs for world-wide export and recently developed a new, much-needed product category: the heigh-adjustable table.
After studying the prototypes and market we went on to develop the product names, identified topics for the brochure and put them into different design concepts.
Employing the concept of sound symbolism, we proposed “Obol” for the rounded, soft design as it long “o”-vowel expresses softness and calm. The more dynamic, edgy design we coined “Ulix” with the sharp “-ix” sound reflecting these very qualities phonetically.
The ueObol and ueUlix tables feature UE’s own technology of imperceptible gradual movement that helps users to change posture “automatically” while at work. This can prevent back issues stemming from lack of movement. The desks are targeted to home users who are often lacking ergonomic work furniture at home.
A good product that comes just in time for many home office users.
